Northwestern Athletics Ticket Donation

Northwestern Athletics Ticket Donation

The Ticket Donation program, established in 2006, allows you to donate Northwestern tickets back to the athletics department for distribution to charitable organizations in the Evanston and Chicagoland areas. You can also purchase tickets for the sole purpose of donating them back to the athletics department. This is a great way to support Wildcat Athletics and provide a meaningful and fulfilling gift to the community. Since the programs establishment, former Wildcat football stars Barry Cofield and Luis Castillo have donated over 800 tickets to Wildcat football and basketball games for use by Family Focus, Y.O.U of Evanston and many other organizations. Please review the policies and procedures below so that your ticket donation can be properly handled by the athletics department.

Policies & Procedures
1. All tickets must be received by the athletics department at least one week before the scheduled athletic event

2. If you are purchasing season tickets for the sole purpose of donating them back to the University, please note that the ticket office should hold onto them instead of sending them out.

3. If you have already received your tickets and you want to donate them back (single-game or season tickets) to the University, they must be transferred to cat-tix@northwestern.edu via your online account at NUsports.com

4. It is up to the athletics department's discretion to decide which charities/organizations the tickets are donated to.

5. Tickets MUST be donated back to the athletics department to receive a tax receipt from Northwestern University.

6. Northwestern does not provide tax receipts for tickets donated directly to charitable organizations. The receiving charity is liable to providing a receipt.
