EVANSTON, Ill. – The Windy City Classic and the prestigious East Lake Cup highlight Northwestern's fall schedule, head coach Emily Fletcher announced Tuesday.

2017-18 Northwestern Women's Golf Schedule

Northwestern, coming off a runner-up finish at the 2017 NCAA Golf Championships, will tee off the 2017-18 campaign on Sept. 11 in Albuquerque, N.M., at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational. Later that week, the 'Cats will visit Nashville for the Mason Rudolph Championship beginning on Sept. 15.

On Oct. 2 & 3, the Wildcats will host the tenth-annual Windy City Collegiate Classic at Northmoor Country Club in Highland Park, Ill. The field for the 54-hole event (36 holes Monday, 18 on Tuesday) includes Arizona, Arizona State, California, Duke, Florida, Iowa State, Michigan State, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Purdue, San Diego State, Tulane and UC-Davis, and features nine teams that competed in the 2017 NCAA Women's Golf Championships at Rich Harvest Farms.

Northwestern then heads back west for the Stanford Intercollegiate on Oct. 16, before wrapping up the fall slate at the East Lake Cup.

The eight semifinalists from the 2017 NCAA Division I men's and women's golf championships will compete in the annual East Lake Cup match play championship. The tournament will take place Oct. 30-Nov. 1 at historic East Lake Golf Club, the home course of legendary golfer Bobby Jones and is the oldest golf course in the city of Atlanta. The women's division features reigning national champion Arizona State University, 2015 national champions Stanford University and the University of Southern California, in addition to the Wildcats.

The East Lake Cup will be contested over three days, following the format from the NCAA men's and women's golf national championships. On Monday, Oct. 30, the eight teams will compete in individual stroke play competition to determine the individual champion and to seed for two days of match-play competition. Tuesday-Wednesday, Nov. Oct. 31-Nov. 1, two match-play tournaments will be hosted simultaneously for the men's and women's divisions, with the semifinals taking place on Tuesday and the finals and consolation matches on Wednesday.

In the spring, the Wildcats will compete in the Northrup Grumman Challenge in Palos Verdes, Calif., the Daris Rucker Intercollegiate on Hilton Head Island, SDSU March Mayhem in San Diego, and finish the regular-season at the Silverado Showdown in Napa. The 2018 Big Ten Championships will be held at TPC River's Bend in Ohio, and the 2018 NCAA Championships will take place in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Fletcher returns four of five Wildcats from the lineup that won the 2017 NCAA Stroke Play Championship and finished as runners-up in the match play portion of the event.
