Lindsey Parkins joined Northwestern as Assistant Director of Olympic Sports Performance in August of 2022.

Before joining the sports performance staff at Northwestern, Parkins was at The College of William & Mary for two years as an Athletic Performance Coach. She handled the performance development for men’s & women’s soccer, women’s lacrosse, men’s & women’s swim, and assisted with football’s athletic development as well as manage wearable technology data. At her time at William & Mary she assisted the women’s swim team in their 2022 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championship win. Â

Parkins attended the University of Louisville where she earned her master’s degree in exercise physiology with a concentration in strength & conditioning. While at Louisville she was a graduate assistant for the health & sports science department, while interning at the sports performance department. Parkins received her undergraduate degree from Ithaca College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in clinical exercise science. While at Ithaca, Parkins was a member of the Bombers women’s soccer team.

An Ohio native, Parkins holds her Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification with the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). She also currently holds her USA Weightlifting level 1 (USAW-L1) certification. Since 2022, Parkins is also a member of US Soccer Sport Science Performance Network
