EVANSTON, Ill. -- Ever wanted to run with the Wildcats? Now's your chance!
Northwestern Cross Country is inviting all girls in grades 3-8 to the campus of Northwestern University for a FREE Running Clinic. The event is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 10, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in Trienens Hall (2707 Ashland Ave., Evanston), Northwestern's indoor turf workout facility.
Attendees at the clinic will have the opportunity to meet members of the Wildcats Cross Country team and learn about their training as a Division I cross country runner. The 'Cats will be on hand to share fun exercises and tips to incorporate into your training, and participants will be able to experience these workouts with a light, informal training circuit that is designed for runners at all levels!
Head coach April Likhite also will lead the group through games and provide instruction on proper stretching techniques.
Additionally, all participants will receive a FREE ticket to that day's Northwestern volleyball match against Michigan, scheduled for 1 p.m. at Welsh-Ryan Arena (adjacent to Trienens Hall). Wear purple and help cheer on the 'Cats against the Wolverines!
All participants must bring with them a signed waiver, linked in PDF format at the top of the page, or be accompanied by a parent or guardian to complete the waiver on site. To register or for more information, please email Patricia Tormey with the name and age of the participant(s).
Northwestern looks forward to welcoming you on Sunday, Nov. 10, to Run Wild!
