Alex Wilson Invite -- Complete Results

Stevens Point Last Chance Meet Results

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern wrapped up the indoor track portion of its spring schedule this weekend, competing in both Notre Dame's Alex Wilson Invitational and the Pointer Last Chance Meet at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

The Alex Wilson Invitational at Notre Dame consistently hosts some of the nation's best runners, with this year's event seeing 11 meet records and five track records fall over the course of the meet. In the 3K run, senior Audrey Huth matched her personal-best time of 9:34.32 and took second against a field that saw nine runners drop below 10 minutes. Wildcats freshman Jessie Baloga narrowly missed becoming the 10th to do so, finishing in 10:00.81 to record a personal best.

Northwestern also placed three runners in the 5,000-meter run, led by junior Michelle Moriset's stellar personal-best effort of 17:04.82, good for 15th overall. Julia Buford followed suit in 17:45.6 -- nearly 30 seconds better than her performance just over two weeks ago at the University of Chicago -- and freshman Elena Barham notched a time of 17:52.00.

Elsewhere, the 'Cats sent numerous runners to the Pointer Last Chance Meet at UW-Stevens Point. Northwestern took the 3,000-meter run by storm with six runners finishing in the top nine. Freshman Megan O'Brien led the pack with a time of 10:19.19, followed by senior Allegra Mayer (10:20.8) and Rachel Weathered (10:22.4).

Freshman Niki Rhyan and sophomore Kayleen McMonigal also represented the Wildcats in both the 800-meter and one-mile events.

Northwestern will take a hiatus from competition for approximately one month before returning for a competitive outdoor track season that begins April 6 at the Chicagoland Championships.
