EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern gets underway with its spring track schedule this weekend, traveling to the Meyo Invitational hosted by Notre Dame on Friday and Saturday. It marks the first of approximately 13 events in which the NU cross country team will compete during the spring training season.
The 25th annual edition of the Meyo Invitational begins at 3 p.m. CT Friday inside Notre Dame's Loftus Sports Center and will feature a total of 48 teams on the men's and women's sides. At approximately 5:30 p.m. CT Friday, Northwestern will enter a trio of juniors in the 5K event: Lauren Neuschel, Ashley Greenwell and Moira Ryan.
On Saturday morning, head coach April Likhite will see three more of her competitors run in the 3K race. Junior Janelle Li-A-Ping will join sophomores Lexie Goldsmith and Ann Powers in the event.
