EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern head coach April Likhite and the Wildcats have reconvened following winter break and begun preparations for their upcoming spring track schedule. The 'Cats have ample opportunities to compete in the Chicagoland area and beyond over a three-month stretch beginning with Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational Friday, Feb. 7.
Northwestern's winter quarter schedule also involves sending representatives to the Chicagoland Indoor Championships on Saturday, Feb. 15, as well as the USA Cross Country Championships the same day in Boulder, Colo. The final weekend of February also sees the Wildcats competing at the Cardinal Classic (North Central College), Alex Wilson Invitational (Notre Dame) and Margaret Bradley Invite (University of Chicago).
Following spring break, Northwestern returns to competition when it travels to Washington University in St. Louis March 28-29, followed by a number of appearances at track meets around the Chicagoland area throughout the month of April. As the outdoor season reaches its peak, the Wildcats will continue to test themselves against some of the nation's top competition at the prestigious Drake Relays (April 24-26) before closing out the schedule at the Dr. Keeler Invite and Wisconsin Open.
