EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern's top runners made the most of their initial 6K test this season, running to a fourth-place team finish at the Dartmouth Invitational in Hanover, N.H., Saturday morning. Competing against sixth-ranked Georgetown and traditional northeast powers Syracuse and Dartmouth, NU received an 11th-place overall finish from senior Michelle Moriset (21:23.91), while freshman Andrea Ostenso once again was the Wildcats' second finisher, placing 18th in 21:38.02.
Sophomore Camille Blackman was the next 'Cat to cross the finish line, earning a top-25 finish with her time of 21:56.44, while senior Julia Buford checked in just behind Blackman at 21:57.28.
Another sophomore Elena Barham was Northwestern's fifth and final scorer by placing 29th in 22:00.1, while sophomore Megan O'Brien (22:04.33) and freshman Elena Miller (22:06.6) also had strong outings in Hanover.
Back in the Midwest, Northwestern's representatives also placed third as a unit at the UW Parkside Midwest Open, where sophomore Rachel Weathered ranked as NU's top finisher. Weathered took 10th overall with her 5K effort of 18:38.6.

Northwestern now will have several weeks to prepare for its next test, the nationally competitive Notre Dame Adidas Invitational in South Bend on Friday, Oct. 4.
