Wildcats set for another meet at U of Chicago this weekend
Kayleen McMonigal left the Northwestern Cross Country team following her sophomore season.
2012: Competed in one event as a sophomore, posting a 5K time of 20:56 at the Loyola Lakefront Invitational ... Academic All-Big Ten.
2011: Ran in five events during her freshman season, improving her 5K time with each successive meet in which she competed ... Season culminated at the Illini Open where she posted a time of 20:32 ... Ran a time of 20:40 at the 5K Notre Dame Invitational (B Division) ... Collegiate debut came in the season-opening Crusader Open at Valparaiso.
High School: Member of two Oregon state championship-winning track teams (2008, 2009) ... Helped cross country team to fifth-place state finishes in 2009 and 2010 ... Personal-best times include: 20:07 (5K), 5:28 (1,600-meter) and 2:27 (800-meter) ... Three-year varsity letterwinner in cross country and four-year member of varsity track ...
