    Northwestern is back on the road for a pair of important Big Ten matches, beginning in Columbus, Ohio, to face Ohio State at 7 p.m. CT Friday, Nov. 13. The 'Cats then head east to University Park, Pa., meeting up with top-ranked and undefeated Penn State at 6 p.m. CT Saturday, Nov. 14.

    Scouting the Buckeyes
    Ohio State is 20-7 on the year and 8-6 (T-4th) in Big Ten play, coming off a pair of victories at Iowa and Wisconsin. Head Coach: Geoff Carlston is 32-27 (.542) in his second season at the helm of the Buckeyes and is 225-91 (.712) in his 10th season as a head coach. Outside Hitters: Katie Dull (Jr.) ranks fourth in the Big Ten in kills per set (3.93) and third in points per set (4.57), recording 381 kills and 56 blocks while ranking second on the team in both digs (240) and service aces (26) ... Emily Danks (Fr.) has notched 199 kills on the year with 53 blocks and leads the team with 36 service aces ... Anna Szerszen (Sr.) has recorded 180 kills, 16 service aces and 31 blocks for the Buckeyes. Middle Blockers: Kristen Dozier (Sr.) leads Ohio State with 85 blocks while ranking second in kills (231) ... Kelli Barhorst (So.) is tied for second with 56 blocks while adding 158 kills. Setter: Ohio State has used both Amanda Peterson (Fr.) and Ashley Hughes (Sr.) at the setter position, combining for 887 assists, 94 kills and 37 blocks. Libero: Chelsea Noble (Sr.) ranks seventh in the Big Ten at 3.82 digs per set (374 total) with 18 service aces.

    Scouting the Nittany Lions
    Top-ranked Penn State is 26-0 on the year and 14-0 (1st) in the Big Ten ... The Nittany Lions enter the weekend with a 90-match winning streak, ranking third all-time in NCAA history. Head Coach: Russ Rose is 989-159 (.861) in his 31st season at Penn State with three national championships. Outside Hitters: Penn State ranks first in the nation with a .404 team hitting percentage ... All-American Megan Hodge (Sr.) leads the conference in both kills per set (4.75) and points per set (5.19) with 380 kills and 50 blocks with a .422 hitting percentage ... Darcy Dorton (Fr.) has added 197 kills and 42 blocks on the year. Middle Blockers: All-American Arielle Wilson (Jr.) ranks second in the Big Ten at 1.56 blocks per set (128 total) and leads the conference in hitting percentage (.565) with 222 kills ... Fatima Balza (Jr.) is second on the team in blocks (106) with 76 kills ... Blair Brown (Jr.) has added 226 kills, 18 service aces and 64 blocks. Setter: All-American Alisha Glass (Sr.) leads the Big Ten in assists per set (11.96) and has added 67 kills, 12 service aces and 71 blocks. Libero: Alyssa D'Errico (Jr.) is averaging 3.46 digs per set (284 total) while leading the Big Ten in service aces per set at 0.56 (46 total).

    Series Information
    Northwestern and Ohio State get together for the 62nd time Friday with the Buckeyes holding a 47-14 series advantage. Ohio State has won the last three meetings between the two, including a 3-0 victory over NU at Welsh-Ryan Arena on Sept. 26. The Buckeyes have also won four of the last five against the Wildcats at St. John Arena with Northwestern defeating Ohio State in four back in 2007. Saturday marks the 46th match between Northwestern and Penn State with the Nittany Lions leading the all-time series 37-8. PSU has won the last 13 matches between the two and has never lost to the Wildcats at Rec Hall.

    Moffett Named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week
    Junior Sabel Moffett was been named the Big Ten's Defensive Player of the Week after a pair of big performances against Michigan State and Michigan over the weekend. Moffett recorded 10 blocks against both the Spartans and the Wolverines, tying her career-best, while also recorded her second career double-double against the Spartans, knocking down 17 kills. The Big Ten's overall block leader with 140 (22 solo, 118 assisted), Moffett also ranks third in the conference in blocks per set at 1.44. She moved into ninth place among the Wildcats' all-time block assist leaders over the weekend with 260 for her career. Her 54 solo blocks and 314 career blocks are both on the verge of breaking into the program's top-10 lists.

    Wildcats Among the Big Ten Leaders
    As a team, Northwestern ranks among the leaders of the Big Ten in a number of categories, ranking third in blocks per set (2.68) while sitting fifth in digs per set (14.11) and sixth in opponent hitting percentage (.184). Individually, Sabel Moffett continues to show why she is one of the conferences top all-around players, ranking third in blocks per set (1.44), fourth in hitting percentage (.375), fifth in points per set (4.34) and sixth in kills per set (3.43). Kate Nobilio, the Big Ten's active dig leader, leads the conference in digs per set (4.48) while Elyse Glab is fifth in assists per set (10.21).
