    Holthus Joins 1K Club
In the second set against Minnesota on Sept. 23, junior outside hitter Stephanie Holthus buried her seventh kill of the match to give the Wildcats a 10-8 lead early in frame. That particular kill marked an important milestone for Holthus as it was the 1,000th of her career in a Northwestern uniform. The Burlington, Ill., native passed Molly Maloney ('91-'94) during the match and now ranks 18th on NU's all-time list with 1,056. Melissa Doan ('95-'98) is next in Holthus' sights with 1,059, while Janine Makar ('85-'88) is Northwestern's all-time leader with 1,666 kills. Holthus becomes the 20th player in program history to accomplish the feat and the first since All-American Sabel Moffett ('07-'10) did so on Oct. 29, 2010, also against Minnesota.

    Milestone Monitor
Senior setter Madalyn Shalter entered the top-10 in program history in assists over the weekend and now owns 1,914 career helpers. She is also attempting to become the 14th player in Northwestern history to record 1,000 digs in a career, needing 27 to join the exclusive group; she needs 144 to join the top-10 in that category and could become the first player in program history to rank in the top-10 in both digs and assists.

    Chin Digging Up The Charts
Senior libero Julie Chin currently ranks eighth in Northwestern history with 1,234 digs, three behind seventh-place Kathy Burns ('84-'87) and five behing sixth-place Shelley Brzozowski ('86-'89). After opening the season 11th on the list, Chin has passed Lizzie Carlson ('02-'05) on Sept. 1 against Cincinnati, Carmen Burbach ('97-'00) on Sept. 7 against Brown and Stacey Kammes ('89-'92) on Sept. 29 at Indiana. Kate Nobilio ('06-'09), who played under current head coach Keylor Chan, is NU's all-time leader in digs with 2,194.
