EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern head volleyball coach Keylor Chan has announced that Katie Kniep (Roscoe, Ill./Hononegah) has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Wildcats for the upcoming 2014 season.

Kniep is the fourth signee in this class, joining three others (Symone Abbott, Gabrielle Hazen and Taylor Tashima) previously announced in November.

"We're very excited to be able to welcome a young woman like Katie into our NU Volleyball Family," said Chan. "She has excelled both on the court, and in the classroom, and I'm confident that her success will continue as she begins her time at Northwestern.

"Coupled with the talented team we have returning next year, this class has the ability to help us attain some pretty special things once we get going in the fall. I'm looking forward to getting on the court for what can be a very memorable season," said Chan.
