    Northwestern Swept by Northern Illinois

    DeKALB, Ill.--The Northwestern women's volleyball team dropped its second consecutive match, falling to Northern Illinois in three games, 15-12, 15-11 and 15-8. Northwestern is now 6-2 on the season, while Northern Illinois improves to 6-1.

    Junior outside hitter Jessica Holloway spearheaded the offensive attack for the Wildcats, posting a team-high 12 kills. Karen Christman led the way defensively with 12 digs, while Holloway added 11. Amber Howard notched a game-high 14 kills for the Huskies.

    Northwestern is next in action at the Chicago Challenge, hosted by Illinois-Chicago. Play begins on Friday with the Wildcats taking on Loyola-Chicago at 8 p.m.
