    Women's Volleyball Falls at Penn State and Indiana

    EVANSTON, Ill.- The Wildcat volleyball team dropped two matches this weekend, falling 15-9, 15-0, 15-3 at No. 2 Penn State on Friday and 15-10, 15-9, 15-12 at Indiana on Saturday. The volleyball team is currently 12-17 overall, 3-15 Big Ten.

    In the Indiana match, junior setter Liz Renius set a new Northwestern single-season assist record. She currently owns 1,278 assists on the season, surpassing the old mark of 1,248 set by Andrea Proos in 1987. Also against the Hoosiers, junior outside hitter Jessica Holloway became just the sixth person in school history to record 1,000 career digs. Holloway currently has 1,020 career digs - sixth on the all-time NU career list. She currently owns 998 career kills, needing just two to become the 13th player in NU history to reach 1,000 kills. She also would become just the fifth Wildcat ever to record 1,000 career kills and digs.

    The Wildcats close out the 1997 season at home this weekend (Nov. 28-29) against Purdue and Ohio State.
