    Keylor Chan Announces Additions to Volleyball Staff

    Emily Carle will be the director of operations and Dan Fabry will work as a volunteer assistant coach in 2012

    Emily Simon (Carle) enters her second season at Northwestern as the Director of Operations in 2013.

    Prior to arriving in Evanston, Simon served as a valuable asset to the BU staff, Carle was responsible for overseeing several facets of the program including travel, film analysis, recruiting and summer camp for the Braves.

    Prior to her stint at Bradley, Simon spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Central Michigan. Carle assisted in all phases of video set up and break down, as well as with the development of practice plans and various camps and clinics for the Chippewas. She has also served as a club coach with stops in Texas and Florida. Simon played collegiately at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. from 2005-09. The two-time team captain garnered AVCA All-America honorable mention accolades in 2008, the same year she helped the Sharks reach the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II National Championship.

    Simon graduated from Nova Southeastern with a degree in marketing from the Wayne Huizenga School of Business in 2009. She also minored in psychology. Simon received her masters in athletic administration from Central Michigan in 2011.

    Simon and her husband, Jeff, were married in March 2013.
