    Cori Cooper joins the Northwestern Volleyball staff as the Director of Operations for the 2014 season.

    Cooper, a native of Crystal Lake, Ill., is a 2013 graduate of nearby Lake Forest College, where she was a four-year starter on the volleyball team. Cooper finished her outstanding playing career ranked fifth in program history with 1,258 kills and 10th with 1,015 digs and she is one of only four players in Lake Forest College history to amass more than 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs. She was a four-time All-Midwest Conference honoree and she served as a team captain.

    Prior to excelling at the collegiate level, Cooper has successful stints with a pair of local volleyball club teams. She began her career with Sky High Volleyball Club in Crystal Lake, Ill., before finishing he last two years with Club Fusion Volleyball, which is based in Marengo, Ill.

    In July 2013, Cooper worked as a summer camp coach at Northwestern, where she specialized in training the outside hitters. From 2009-13 she served as a coach at Lake Forest College summer camps.

    Cooper graduated from Lake Forest College in May 2013 with degrees in communications and English (writing emphasis).
