    MEDIA INFORMATION

All credential requests should be directed to the Northwestern Athletic Communications office. Members of the media should contact Nick Brilowski, NU women's tennis contact, by e-mail (brilowski@northwestern.edu) as soon as possible. You will be notified when your credential request has been accepted.

There will be a hospitality tent set up for tournament personnel and working media. Notes and other pertinent information will be made available in the media center, located in the pro shop of the Vandy Christie Tennis Center (outdoors) or the conference room at Combe Tennis Center (indoors). After competition each day, complete results of each match will be posted on this page.

After a 10-minute cooling-off period following each match, an interview area will open to all credentialed members of the media. Any coach and/or student-athletes requested by the media will be made available for interviews. The interview area for the tournament will be near the north courts at the Vandy Christie Tennis Center, unless otherwise noted. Each coach and student-athlete will be escorted to the interview area by a member of the Northwestern Athletic Communications staff. Postmatch quotes from members of the winning team will be posted on this page.

    FACILITIES

    Vandy Christie Tennis Center

The outdoor matches will be held at the Vandy Christie Tennis Center, located at 2310 Sheridan Rd., Evanston, IL 60208 (Sheridan between Colfax and Noyes). The Vandy Christie Tennis Center was dedicated October 29, 1994 to honor an outstanding alumnus and special representative of Northwestern University. Christie's Northwestern career began as a varsity tennis player in 1955. He returned as the head coach of the men's team from 1976-83 and later became the director of athletic development.

The Center boasts 15 courts, a pro shop and permanent seating for several hundred spectators. In 2013, a main electronic scoreboard that features the scores of all the matches as well as individual electronic scoreboards on each court were added. The courts have been home to Wildcat tennis since 1941 and have been the site of four NCAA Championships and 24 Big Ten Championships.

    Combe Tennis Center

In the event of inclement weather, indoor matches will be held at the Combe Tennis Center, located at 2311 Campus Dr., Evanston, IL 60208 (inside the Henry Crown Sports Pavilion).

The Center takes its name from former Northwestern tennis player Ivan Combe, who offered the lead donation that made the center a reality. Combe was a member of the men's tennis team from 1931-33 and played on legendary Wildcat coach Paul Bennett's first team.

Combe houses six courts and each has it's own electronic scoreboard. The main scoreboard, which sits on the center of the south wall, gives a composite score and features an electronic message center. The Intercollegiate Tennis Association named the Combe Tennis Center its Outstanding Facility in 2002.
