EVANSTON, Ill. -- No. 14 Northwestern hosts both Big Ten schools from the state of Michigan this weekend as it faces Michigan State on Saturday before squaring off with No. 8 Michigan on Sunday.

Saturday's match gets underway at 11 a.m., while Sunday's is stated for a noon start at Vandy Christie Tennis Center. In the case of inclement weather, matches will be played indoors at Combe Tennis Center.

The Wildcats posted a pair of dominating performances last weekend, rolling past Minnesota and Wisconsin by identical 7-0 scores. Junior Nida Hamilton led the way, posting an undefeated week for Northwestern, posting a trio of singles wins as well as two doubles victories with Linda Abu Mushrefova. Hamilton won all three of her singles matches in straight sets and surrendered a total of just 10 games in the three matches.

Hamilton is ranked No. 9 in doubles with Mushrefova, while Kate Turvy is ranked No. 63 in singles while Veronica Corning is No. 96. However, it is Belinda Niu who leads the Wildcats in dual action with a 12-4 singles record, including a 5-0 mark in conference play that is matched by Mushrefova.

Northwestern defeated MSU 7-0 in East Lansing a year ago.

The Wolverines enter play this weekend tied with Northwestern and Purdue for second place in the conference standings, one game behind first-place Nebraska. Michigan fell to Indiana 5-2 in Ann Arbor last Sunday. Last season, NU dropped the Wolverines 4-3 in Ann Arbor, snapping the Wolverines' 31-match Big Ten winning streak. In singles, Emina Bektas is ranked No. 29, Ronit Yurovsky is No. 39 and Sarah Lee is No. 76. Meanwhile, the doubles pairing of Bektas and Brooke Bolender is No. 2 in the nation while Lee and Yurovsky is ranked 49th.
