EVANSTON, Ill. -- After two shutout victories to open the 2008 campaign, the seventh-ranked Wildcats will head to Atlanta to face the top-ranked Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at 4 p.m. CT Saturday. The match will be the first between a pair of top-10 teams this season.

The dual will be played indoors and will be both teams' final tune-up for the ITA National Team Indoor Championships, which begin next week.
Both squads enter the weekend with 2-0 records and the two teams boast a combined seven top-25 and five top-10 singles players. In addition, two doubles tandems appear in the top-10 of the latest rankings. Georgia Tech is the defending NCAA team champion.
The last time the teams face off was in 2007 at the Combe Tennis Center with the Yellow Jackets coming away with a 4-3 victory. The Wildcats had won the first three match ups between the programs.
NU defeated Georgia Tech, 4-3, the last time the Wildcats traveled down to Atlanta. The loss was Tech's last at the Bill Moore Tennis Center, as the Yellow Jackets have won 19-straight home matches since then.
Maria Mosolova is currently the second-ranked singles player in the nation with a 17-2 record. Georgia Rose is No. 9 and is 18-4 on the year. Samantha Murray is ranked 20th with a 19-4 mark. Lauren Lui is ranked 68th and Nazlie Ghazal is tied for 99th. The Wildcats have three ranked doubles teams.
For Georgia Tech, Amanda McDowell is currently ranked third while Maya Johansson and Kristi Miller are sixth and seventh, respectively. Whitney McCray is 22nd, Christy Striplin is 38th and Noelle Hickey is 56th. Tech has one ranked doubles team.
