    Women's Tennis Team Defeats Michigan, 4-3

    ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Wildcat women's tennis team downed Big Ten rival Michigan, 4-3. With the win, the 'Cats improve to 13-9 overall and 8-2 in conference play.

    With her win at No. 2 singles, freshman Shannon Duffy set the school record for most wins in a season with 31. Duffy, who is ranked No. 78 nationally, defeated #104 Danielle Lund, 6-2, 6-4. Sophomore Katherine Nasser, ranked No. 63 nationally, defeated No. 66 Brooke Hart. Junior Robyn Porter won the deciding match with a 6-2, 5-7, 6-2 victory over Erryn Weggenman.

    Junior Laura Guignon and Porter picked up the lone win in doubles. The No. 3 duo defeated Weggenman and Tumeka Harris, 8-6. That duo is now a perfect 4-0 in Big Ten action on the year.
