Women's Tennis Defeats Indiana
Wildcats win four of six singles matches.
EVANSTON, Ill. - The Wildcat women's tennis team, ranked No. 22 nationally, defeated Indiana, 4-3, at the Johnson Tennis Center today. NU won four singles matches and one doubles match en route to victory. Sophomore Katherine Nasser, freshmen Shannon Duffy and Colleen Cheng and junior Laura Guignon won the top four singles matches. Nasser beat Correne Stout, 6-1, 6-3, at the No. 1 spot. Duffy won the deciding match over Kelly Blanch, 1-6, 6-1, 6-3.
The No. 1 doubles team of Nasser and Guignon defeated Blanch and Stout, 8-6.
