    No. 22 Wildcat Women's Tennis Tops Kansas State, 6-1

    The No. 22 ranked Northwestern University women's tennis team defeated Kansas State University 6-1 today.

    Freshman Shannon Duffy lead the Wildcats with a 6-2, 7-5 win over Anna Pampoulova. Sophomore Katherine Nasser lost in three sets, 2-6, 7-6, 6-2 to Yana Dorodnova, but teamed with Duffy to defeat Dorodnova and Eva Novotna, 8-1 at No. 1 doubles.

    At No. 2 doubles, Laura Guignon and Leigh Weinraub led 6-3, before dropping four of the next five games to fall into a 7-7 tie. Weinraub then held serve and then Guignon-Weinraub broke to win the match 9-7.

    Colleen Cheng Robyn Porter defeated Dinah Watson and Natalia Farmer at No.3 doubles 8-4.

    Northwestern will play the University of Wisconsin on Sunday, February 15.
