    Wildcats Swept by No. 5 Duke

    Women's tennis struggles without Duffy

    EVANSTON, Ill. -The Northwestern womens' tennis team, without freshman Shannon Duffy, was swept by nationally ranked #3 Duke University 7-0.

    At Number one singles, sophomore Katherine Nasser couldn't overcome Vanessa Webb's serve and volley game and fell by a score of 6-3, 6-3. Colleen Cheng lost to Kristin Sanderson 6-3, 6-3.

    With the match already decided, the women's doubles teams were swept too. Nasser and Laura Guignon fell to Megan Miller and Kristin Sanderson 8-5. The team of Leigh Weinraub and Jennifer Lutgert lost 8-5 to Kathy Sell and Brooke Siebel.

    The Wildcats are 3-3, while Duke is 1-0.
