EVANSTON, Ill. - Freshman Audra Cohen (Plantation, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) continued her tear through the ITA All-American Championships Thursday, Oct. 7 by beating Jennifer Magley of Florida in the first round of the main draw to improve to 11-0 on the year. Cohen dropped the first set 4-6 - only the second set she has lost through 11 matches - but rallied to win the next two 6-3, 6-4.

Junior Cristelle Grier (Epsom, England/Putney) - No. 1 player in the country and top seed in the tournament - saw her first action of the championship, beating Romanda But of Maryland 6-3, 6-1. Grier will face Erin Burdette of Stanford in the second round match tomorrow with the winner moving on to the quarterfinals.
