Fall 2001: Ranked ninth in the nation after a successful fall season … Top-ranked player in the Midwest region … Ranked fourth in the Midwest region in doubles with partner Lia Jackson … Defeated teammate Lia Jackson for the Omni Region IV title, making her the second Wildcat to win the tournament (Katherine Nasser, 1999) … With the Regional title, automatically qualified for the ITA Omni National Indoor Tournament … Unranked and unseeded, Piriou stormed through the bracket to land in the semifinals … Defeated USC’s Jewel Peterson (6-0, 7-5) in the quarterfinals … Fell to Stanford’s Lauren Kalvaria (5-7, 6-2, 6-1) in the semis … Finished the fall season with a 12-3 record.
2000-01: Won 11 straight matches from Feb. 10 to March 21 … Perfect at No. 4 with 16 wins … Finished the season with a 35-6 record … Played mostly at No. 4 … Saw some time at No. 3, compiling an 8-2 record … Was 9-0 in Big Ten matches, only one of three players in the conference to do so … 24-2 dual match mark … Ranked 11th in the final ITA Midwest Region poll … Teamed with Colleen Cheng for a 6-4 record at No. 1 doubles and a fifth-place finish in the region … Academic All-Big Ten.
