AUBURN, Ala. -- Northwestern's 2012 NCAA contingent of senior Jenny Wilson (Bethesda, Md./Sidwell Friends School) and junior Taylor Reynolds (St. Louis, Mo./Webster Groves) completed competition Saturday with one swim each at the national meet.

Wilson, who smashed a 12-year-old school record in the 100 breast during Friday prelims and ultimately earned first-team All-America honors with an eighth-place finish in the event, competed in the 200 breast on Saturday. Her preliminary time of 2:11.54 was not enough to match her school-record time of 2:09.89 achieved at the 2012 Big Ten Championships, leaving her tied for 26th overall in the national field. Still, Wilson graduates as the fastest breaststroker in school history at both distances and as a first-team All-American.

Reynolds swam the 100 free, posting an NCAA `B' time of 49.87 to place 48th overall. She previously had a 36th-place finish in the 50 free at the Championships. The fact that Reynolds made the field at all is a testament to her hard work; she missed the entire fall season with an injury that put her months behind the rest of the country in her training regimen.

As a team, Northwestern earned 11 points from Wilson's eighth-place 100 breast finish. That placed the Wildcats 35th in the nation out of 49 teams that scored points at the 2012 NCAA Championships.
