Taylor Reynolds will compete in the 100 free championship final after another career-best at the Big Ten Championships
2012-13:Member of Northwestern's middle distance and distance freestyle groups while also competing in the backstroke ... Big Ten Distinguished Scholar ... Academic All-Big Ten ... Ranked on Northwestern's top times list in six different events, including ranking second in the mile after lowering her career-best by more than five seconds with a 16:38.46 to win the event at NU's own six-team TYR Invitational (11/16-11/18) ... That time moved her up to seventh in the event on the Wildcats' all-time top times list in the only instance she swam the race during the season ... In addition to the mile, was second in the 500 free and 1,000 free, third in the 200 back and fourth in the 100 back and 200 free for the Wildcats ... Competed in the 200 back (30th), 200 free (43rd) and 500 free (44th) at the Big Ten Championships ... Her 200 back time of 2:00.49 was 2.9 seconds faster than her previous career-best and placed her 10th all-time in the event on NU's list ... Won the 500 free at the TYR, dropping more than five seconds from her seed time to swim a 4:59.17 in the prelims before further cutting another 6.40 seconds for a finals time of 4:52.77 ... Captured third in the 200 free at the TYR with a 1:50.84 in the finals that was five seconds faster than her seed ... Made the consolation finals of both backstroke events at the TYR, winning the heat in the 100 and taking second in it (and 10th overall) in the 200 with a then-career-best time of 2:03.39 ... After a successful TYR, was unable to compete at the fall-season-ending Iowa Invitational (11/30-12/2) ... Scored dual-meet points with 11 total top-five finishes in the fall ... Best dual results were second-place efforts in the 200 back and 200 free against UIC (11/2), and in the 500 free and 1,000 free at Iowa (1/26).
2011-12: A standout for Northwestern during the regular season after earning three career-bests with in-season swims, ranked on NU's top times list for the year in six different events ... Was first for the Wildcats in the 1,650 free, second in the 100 back, 500 free and 1,000 free, and third in the 200 free and 200 back ... Also swam the backstroke leg with Northwestern's 400 medley relay and the second leg of the 800 free relay at the Big Ten Championships, earning NCAA `B' provisional qualifying times with both ... The 400 medley relay ranks fifth and the 800 free relay sixth on NU's all-time top times list ... Academic All-Big Ten ... Qualified for the Big Ten Championships bonus finals and finished 22nd in both the 200 free and 500 free after setting career bests in the prelims (1:48.86 in the 200 and 4:50.16 in the 500) ... Also competed in the mile at the Big Ten meet, coming in 18th place ... Swam a career-best time in the 1,650 free (16:43.79) and a then-career-best time in the 200 free (1:49.57) at NU's own eight-team TYR Invitational, winning the mile and placing second in the 200 free ... Also had a then-career-best time in the 500 free with a third-place 4:56.07 against Iowa and Harvard (1/21) ... Took fifth overall in the 200 back and 10th in the 100 back at the TYR ... 2010-11: Ranked on NU's top times list in four different individual events ... Was fourth in the 1,000 free, 1,650 free and 200 back while ranking fifth in the 500 free ... Earned an NCAA `B' provisional qualifying time with the Wildcats' top 800 free relay of the fall at Northwestern's own six-team TYR Invitational (11/19-11/21) ... Competed in the 1,650 free (28th), 200 free (49th) and 500 free (50th) at the Big Ten Championships ... Finished second overall in the 1,650 free at the TYR Invite with a 16:45.80, ranking herself ninth on NU's all-time top times list in the event ... Won the consolation finals of the 500 free and 200 back at the TYR ... Earned points with 11 different top-five dual meet finishes including four top-three results during the year ...
