Dec. 31, 2011
EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern softball is hosting a one day winter camp and its 2012 Winter Academy beginning in January! To register and for more information, go to NorthwesternSoftballCamp.com. Northwestern's January 8 One Day Camp is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will cover fundamentals from throwing and fielding to hitting and base running. Pitchers and catchers also will receive one-on-one instruction from our decorated camp staff from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The 2012 Winter Academy will be held for six-consecutive Monday evenings beginning January 9. Each evening boasts two one-hour sessions starting at 7 p.m. at a cost of $40 per player per hour. The Winter Academy is designed to provide quality coaching to Northwestern's local talent and to engage our community in Northwestern softball. We specifically target hitting and pitching instruction throughout the winter: each pitching instructor will be limited to four players in each session and hitting sessions will be limited to seven players per coach. Instruction will cater to the specific needs of the individual in addition to fundamentals and drill work. NU's January One Day Camp and 2012 Winter Academy will be held in Northwestern's Trienens Hall indoor facility on its athletic campus just west of Sharon J. Drysdale Field on Ashland Ave. For complete information including directions and cost, or to register, definitely click on this link to NorthwesternSoftballCamp.com!
