EVANSTON, Ill. -- Jaime Clark has joined Northwestern as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2005 season. She most recently served as an alternate for the gold medal-winning U.S. Softball team at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.

She was also a member of the gold medal-winning USA squad at the 2003 Pan American games.

A 2003 graduate of the University of Washington, Clark twice led the Huskies to the Women's College World Series. She was a four-time first-team All-Pac-10 selection and a three-time NFCA All-America selection. She is Washington's career leader in home runs (73), runs scored (223) and RBIs (243).

In the summer of 2001, Clark started all 24 games at shortstop for the USA Blue team which competed in three tournaments. She led the field at the Pan Am Qualifier with a .483 batting average.

As a freshman, Clark made an immediate impact on the Huskies, earning a berth on the WCWS All-Tournament team.

Clark attended Foothill High School in Santa Ana, Calif.--the same high school attended by Northwestern junior Jamie Dotson and senior Erin Mobley.
