EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern will celebrate three of its own during Senior Weekend Friday and Saturday, May 11-12, at Sharon J. Drysdale Field when NU hosts Illinois in a three-game Big Ten series.

The weekend begins with a 2 p.m. CT doubleheader Friday that will be streamed live in high quality via the Big Ten Digital Network. Senior Day is set for 1 p.m. CT Saturday with Megan Lilley, Adrienne Monka and Olivia Zolke being honored in a ceremony prior to first pitch. That game will be available in a single-camera feed via Wildcats All-Access on

Lilley is an Ohio native who played her club ball in Illinois and came back to Evanston for college. She appeared in 18 games, scoring five runs and swiping a base before her playing career came to a close following the 2010 season, a year in which she earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.

Monka is one of the most decorated players in Northwestern history, beginning with her Big Ten Freshman of the Year selection in 2009. She went on to become a two-time NFCA All-America first team choice and was a candidate for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award this year. She will graduate as Northwestern's all-time leader in slugging, walks and on-base percentage.

Zolke has played in 20 career games during her career including 17 pinch hit appearances. Stellar in the pinch, she collected a pair of hits, three RBIs and drew five walks in those plate appearances for a career .389 on-base percentage. She also serves as NU's bullpen catcher, where she has drawn rave reviews for her handling of the NU pitching staff.

Northwestern is coming off a sweep of Michigan State last weekend, after which Monka was named Big Ten Player of the Week and freshman Amy Letourneau was tabbed Freshman of the Week. NU outscored MSU 28-2 in the series.

Following Saturday's game, Northwestern will hold its sixth-annual Purple Auction, which features great food, drinks and outstanding auction items. This event will bring together current players, former players, stakeholders, friends and family of our program to celebrate the rich tradition and exciting future of Northwestern Softball while honoring our 2012 Senior Class.
