Senior Weekend Promotions and the PURPLE AUCTION on Tap at Sharon J. Drysdale Field
April 25, 2007 EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern's final home Big Ten games of 2007 take place this weekend at Sharon J. Drysdale Field when the Wildcats welcome Iowa and Illinois to town, and NU has a number of exciting promotions in store for its fans! Also, Northwestern softball's inaugural PURPLE AUCTION is slated for Saturday, April 28, after NU's noon CT game against Iowa. Tickets still are available for this event, which will feature great food, drink and auction items such as a Nintendo Wii, Chicago sports memorabilia, sporting event tickets and much, much more. The event is the kickoff of CAMPAIGN PURPLE, which will help fund Northwestern softball stadium renovations and enhance the future of Northwestern softball. Friday, April 27 at 4 p.m. vs. Iowa
Saturday, April 28 at noon CT vs. Iowa All fans in 8th grade and under can sit in the Kids' K Section with members of the Wildcat Women's basketball team to learn how to keep score during the game. Plus, there will be chances to win gift cards from Wildcat sponsors, including LaSalle Bank and Pita Pete's. NU will honor public safety officials and members of the armed services Saturday, as well! Bring someone you admire to be part of our Heroes' Day tribute!
Sunday, April 29 at noon CT (DH) vs. Illinois
Plus, NU students can enter the Cornhole Tournament presented by
Chipotle in Evanston. The first 50 NU students to sign up for the
tournament will receive a free Chipotle burrito coupon and the
winning team will split a year's supply of Chipotle burritos! Sign
up begins at noon and the tournament will begin after the first game
(approximately 2:30 pm).
