Northwestern fell two spots in the USA Today/NFCA coaches poll this week to No. 25 after going 1-2 in a road series at No. 14 Minnesota last weekend. The Wildcats got this week off to a strong start with their ninth run-rule win of the season in an 8-0 (5) decision at Loyola (Chicago) Wednesday. Sophomore Kristen Wood (Trevor, Wis./Wilmot Union) struck out a career-high 12 and did not allow a ball to be put in play until the fourth inning of her second no-hitter of the year.

Sophomore Brianna LeBeau (Worth, Ill./H.L. Richards) has remained on absolute fire in recent games. She now is batting .500 over Northwestern's last 13 contests to raise her average to a team-best .389 on the year. The South Sider also leads the team in home runs (7) and slugging (.674).

Indiana enters this weekend with a 13-30-1 overall record after splitting a doubleheader at Ball State Wednesday. Despite their record, the Hoosiers have taken at least one game in all of their B1G series this year with the exception of against No. 3 Michigan.
