    2013: Started the season opener at designated player before missing a month while recovering from an injury ... After five more starts at DP during the South Florida Under Armour Showcase March 8-10, was shut down for the remainder of the season to continue rehab following offseason surgery ... Was granted a medical hardship waiver by the NCAA and will compete as a fifth-year senior in 2014 ... Academic All-Big Ten ... NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete ... Senior CLASS Award Candidate ... Entered the season with an active 15-game hitting streak and singled in her second at-bat against No. 13 Arizona in the season opener (2/8) to extend that to 16 games ... Returned to the field at the South Florida Under Armour Invitational (3/8-3/10) ...     Pre game ritual... is to remind myself that speed never takes a day off.
    If I could play any other sport at NU, it would be... most probable? Basketball. What I'd love to play? Football.

    Favorite midnight snack... well, I don't usually stay up past 10, but on the off chance that I do, ice cream cookie sandwiches or late-night 7/11 slurpee runs with my roomie.
    If I could eat one meal for the rest of my life it would be... noodles and pesto sauce.
    Favorite class at NU... my internship with the Athletics Department.
    After I graduate I want to be... working with athletes on the business side of sports.
    Favorite Holiday Tradition... driving around on Christmas Eve to look at Christmas lights and baking Christmas cookies with my family and our family friends.

    Best thing about NU... The people. Everyone on this campus has influenced me in some way or another.
    Favorite NUSB memory... It's a tie between: Michelle Batts' grand slam against Penn State and my dad getting to see me play for the first time.
    If you were on the amazing race, what teammate would go with you?... Scharkey, she'd totally get there first and would refuse to let anyone beat her/us.
    Funniest person on the team? Me, hands down.
    Best dancer on the team? Me, hands down, again. But Marisa, Sammy, and Schark cooould give me a run for my money.
    Biggest prankster on the team? Shieks, yet she can't keep a straight face for too long!
