    Michelle Delloso Named Assistant Softball Coach

    EVANSTON, ILL. -- Michelle Delloso has been named assistant coach for the Northwestern University softball team, it was announced today by 20th-year head coach Sharon Drysdale.

    Delloso was a three-time All-American and a two-time Olympic Festival gold medalist at the University of South Carolina. She was also a member of the Colorado Silver Bullets women's professional baseball team in 1994. In 1992, she served as the interim head softball coach at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa.

    Delloso graduated from South Carolina in 1991 with a bachelor of science in sports administration. She was the Gamecocks' team captain and was voted the team's best defensive player three times. She was also a South Carolina Scholar Athlete Award recipient in 1989-91. She was a member of the South Carolina President's List as well as the Dean's List in 1991.
