    The Match
Northwestern looks for its second straight win at Lakeside Field when the Wildcats entertain the University of Wisconsin Monday night. The 7 p.m. match is the first of a two-game homestand that will close out the 'Cats' 2009 regular season.

    Scouting the Badgers
Wisconsin enters Monday in third place in the Big Ten standings, and having had more than a week since it last played. Sophomore Laurie Nosbusch leads the Badgers in every offensive category and has scored six goals and four assists. Goalkeeper Michele Dalton has four shutouts on the season and a 1.27 GAA. Tonight marks the Badgers' final game of the regular season.

    Series Information
Wisconsin holds a 12-5-0 lead in the all-time series history, but Northwestern took the last meeting between the schools with a 1-0 win in Madison last year on Halloween. NU has won two consecutive games in the series, including a 3-0 home victory on Nov. 2, 2007.

    Catching the 'Cats
Fans who can't make it to Lakeside Field tonight have several options to follow the action. Live streaming videoof the match is available on NUSports.com All Access (requires a subscription). The official website of Northwestern Athletics also offers a free Game Tracker, and Twitter users can follow @NU_SportsLIVE to get the latest game information right on their computer or cell phone.

    Last Time Out
Northwestern battled Mother Nature for 98 minutes at Minnesota Friday night before the Gophers' Kylie Kallman managed to score the only goal of a 1-0 overtime win for the home side. Jennifer Baumann had a strong scoring opportunity for Northwestern in overtime, but the UM goalkeeper just managed to get underneath the junior's shot on goal to stop it. Alicia Herczeg took four shots in the contest, including NU's other shot on target. Carolyn Edwards had four saves for Northwestern.

    Finally Back By The Lake
For just the second time since Sept. 27, Northwestern plays at home at Lakeside Field tonight. The 'Cats played five of their six October matches away from home. In fact, while NU had just one home game in the month (a 1-0 win over Michigan State on Oct. 18), no conference foe had fewer than three. The silver lining for the Wildcats begins tonight as Northwestern opens a two-game homestand to close the regular season.
