    'Cats Celebrate 20 Years of Northwestern Women's Soccer

    EVANSTON, Ill. -- This fall, the Northwestern women’s soccer team will be commemorating the program’s 20-year history with a special alumni weekend. All former players, friends of the program and family members are invited to return to Evanston and Lakeside Field Sept. 19-21.

    During that weekend, alumni will have the chance to watch the 2014 Northwestern women’s soccer team take on two Big Ten foes (Friday vs. Purdue, Sunday vs. Indiana) and there will be a special alumni recognition during the Sept. 21 match at Lakeside Field. Additionally, the Northwestern football team plays at home Saturday, Sept. 20 at Ryan Field and details for events surrounding the football game will be available soon.

    Established in 1994, more than 150 student-athletes have represented the Northwestern women’s soccer program, which has produced more than 30 All-Big Ten honorees, 200+ Academic All-Big Ten awards and two NCAA Tournament berths. The 2014 NU women’s soccer season features a 19-game regular-season slate, including nine home contests at Lakeside Field.
