Women's Soccer Adds a Fifth Signee
March 12, 2003 EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern University Women's Soccer Head Coach Jenny Haigh has announced the signing of Whitney Jones (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West) to a National Letter of Intent. Jones will matriculate to Northwestern in the fall of 2003 and is eligible to play for the Wildcats next season. She becomes the fifth member of this year's signing class for the Wildcats, joining Leslie Gittings from State College, Pa.; Andrea Plocek from Monclova, Ohio; Shannon Schneeman from St. Paul, Minn.; and Katie Wright from Greenwood, Ind. Jones is also entering Northwestern University after graduating from Glenbard West in three years. "We are really excited about the addition of Whitney to our class," said Haigh. "She is a very talented and athletic goalkeeper, and she has the maturity and poise to command traffic in front of her and athleticism to cover her goal well. Whitney also has tremendous feet, and this will add a whole new dimention to our back line.
