EVANSTON, Ill. -- Sophomore Addie Steiner continued her early season scoring spree as she scored two goals in Northwestern's 3-1 victory over Miami (Ohio) at Lakeside Field on Sunday afternoon.

Steiner's efforts came on the heels of her scoring a first-half hat trick in a 6-0 win over UIC on Wednesday. In four matches this season, Steiner has recorded a Big Ten-leading six goals.

Northwestern dominated action in the first half as they recorded 10 shots while preventing the RedHawks from getting off a shot. The Wildcats' pressure paid off at 21:36 as Steiner scored an unassisted goal, finishing past RedHawks keeper Danielle Wiseman to put the hosts on the board.

The Prairie Village, Kan., native struck again just over eight minutes into the second half as she notched an insurance goal to push NU's lead to two. Nandi Mehta was credited with an assist on the play.

Northwestern's advantage grew to 3-0 in the 66th minute when Kim Jerantowski tallied her first goal of the season off helpers from Michelle Manning and Sami Schrakamp.

The Wildcats didn't allow a shot in the contest until 74:45 had passed in the contest. However, that shot resulted in a goal as Haley Walter scored off a corner kick with Kelsey Dingles picking up an assist as the RedHawks avoided the shutout.

Northwestern finished the match with a commanding 15-2 advantage in shots.

The contest featured a pair of siblings going head-to-head as NU senior KK Barr squared off against her sister, Jenny, a freshman for Miami.

The 'Cats are back in action at 6:30 p.m. Friday as they travel to Missouri.
