    Amonte Hiller to Present Wednesday at Chicago Ideas Week

    Chicago Ideas Week -- The Making of a Champion

    Big Ten Icons: K. Amonte Hiller

    EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern head coach Kelly Amonte Hiller is set to join many of the top minds in a variety of fields this week as a featured presenter during the second annual Chicago Ideas Week. Amonte Hiller is participating in a special sports panel titled "Making of a Champion" at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Museum of Contemporary Art in downtown Chicago.

    Amonte Hiller is one of six speakers at the 90-minute panel Wednesday, along with: Bob Bowman, renowned coach of swimmer Michael Phelps, former Notre Dame football player Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger, decorated Olympic swimmer Natalie Coughlin, biomedical engineer Cynthia Bir and golfer-in-training Dan McLaughlin.

    Tickets to the event are on sale to the general public for $15 and are available on the Chicago Ideas Week website.

    Amonte Hiller has been part of nine NCAA women's lacrosse championships as a player and coach and has built a dynasty at Northwestern, leading the Wildcats to seven national championships in the last eight years. The five-time IWLCA National Coach of the year took over a club program at NU and within four years had the Wildcats hoisting the NCAA championship trophy.
