EVANSTON, Ill. -- Kelly Amonte Hiller, head coach of the back-to-back NCAA national champion women's lacrosse team, will be on hand to throw out the first pitch at Thursday afternoon's Chicago White Sox game at U.S. Cellular Field. Game time is 1:05 p.m. as Chicago takes on the Kansas City Royals.

This will be Amonte Hiller's second trip to U.S. Cellular in as many weeks. She also was on had last Wednesday evening as she represented Northwestern in recognition of The Sporting News naming Chicago the No. 1 Sports Town in America.

Amonte Hiller has led the Northwestern to two straight NCAA Championships -- helping the Wildcats become the first team in school history to win back-to-back NCAA titles. Her teams have won three-straight conference championships and own an impressive 41-1 overall record over the past two seasons.

In just her fourth season as head coach in 2005, she helped Northwestern become the first school outside the Eastern Time Zone to win a NCAA lacrosse title, male or female, at any level. The 2005 National Coach of the Year and two-time National Player of the Year, was recently named the NCAA's 25th Anniversary Women's Lacrosse Team.
