Wildcats Capture 2008 Women’s Lacrosse National Championship
Northwestern used a tremendous overall team effort -- great defense, superb goaltending and timely offense -- to notch its fourth straight NCAA national championship with a 10-6 victory over the University of Pennsylvania Sunday night at Towson University. All-Americans Hannah Nielsen and Hilary Bowen each scored three goals and goalkeeper Morgan Lathrop was stellar in the nets as the Wildcats (21-1) avenged their season's only loss.
