EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern women's lacrosse, currently ranked No. 2 in the nation and undefeated at 9-0, is calling on all fans to pack Lakeside Field in Evanston at noon Saturday when it hosts third-ranked Duke in a showcase of the best talent college lacrosse has to offer. After the match, girls in grades one through eight are invited to stick around for a free postmatch lacrosse clinic with five-time national champion NU head coach Kelly Amonte Hiller and her staff.

The half-hour long lacrosse clinic will begin shortly after the conclusion of the game. Players should bring lacrosse sticks, protective goggles and mouthguards to participate in the clinic.

In addition, fans should also arrive early to be one of the first 1,000 in attendance and receive a free Northwestern lacrosse car window cling to help them show off their Wildcats pride to the world.

Northwestern and Duke (8-1) have been perennial powers in NCAA women's lacrosse for nearly a decade, with the two teams having reached the semifinals of the NCAA Tournament a combined 10 times over the last six years. A year ago, Northwestern eliminated the Blue Devils from the national tournament with an 18-8 victory in the quarterfinal round.

Amonte Hiller, now in her 10th season at the helm in Evanston, has coached the Wildcats to six straight national title games, compiling a remarkable record of 163-26 along the way. Her teams have been especially dominant in front of their home crowds at Lakeside Field, where Northwestern has won 65 of its last 66 home games dating back to 2004.

Tickets for Saturday's matchup against Duke are available at the gates and season tickets are still available by calling the Northwestern Athletics ticket office at 888-GO-PURPLE. Fans can also catch the live broadcast of the game on the Big Ten Network.
