    Scouting the Hoyas
Fifth-ranked Georgetown, the 2009 Big East regular season champion, is 1-0 on the year after a 15-9 victory over Johns Hopkins on Feb. 24. The Hoyas were led by six goals and an assist from senior All-American Molly Ford, with fellow senior All-American Ashby Kaestner logging three goals and a pair of assists. Junior Jody Kirr and sophomore Erin Lovett also added a pair of goals in the Georgetown victory. Kaestner also led the Hoyas in draw controls with four, with freshman Kelsi Bozel adding three while junior Mary Beth Brophy scooped up three ground balls against the Blue Jays. Senior goalkeeper Caitlin Formby had 10 saves while allowing just nine goals for Georgetown for a .526 save percentage. Head coach Ricky Fried is in his sixth year at the helm of the Hoyas, boasting an overall record of 63-33 (.656) with four Big East regular season crowns.

    Series Information
Northwestern and Georgetown get together for the fourth time Saturday with the Wildcats having won the previous three meetings. After a 12-1 Northwestern victory in 1989, the two teams renewed the series in 2008 as the Wildcats held off the Hoyas in a 7-6 nail biter at Lakeside Field. In 2009, NU notched eight goals in the first five minutes in Washington, D.C., en route to the 15-4 win over Georgetown.

Dowd Named ALC Offensive Player of the Week
Katrina Dowd picked up the first American Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week honor of her career after notching 12 points in the pair of Wildcat victories this past weekend. Dowd helped extend Northwestern's winning streak to 32 games by notching five goals and adding an assist in each of the `Cats victories over 15th-ranked Stanford and California. She also made her presence known all over the field against the Cardinal, scooping up three ground balls while forcing four turnovers in the 18-11 win.
