RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. -- A few days after winning the first Mission Hills Q-School Prep Event, Northwestern rising junior Kaitlin Park completed the sweep of the 2014 Q-School Prep Series by placing first amongst a highly-competitive field at the second Q-School Prep Event. Played on the Arnold Palmer Course at the Mission Hills Country Club from Aug. 18-Aug. 20, Park finished 6-under for the tournament with scores of 69-69-72.

Park finished first amongst the 96-player field, which included 2014 NCAA Champion Doris Chen from USC who placed sixth and was four strokes behind the NU women’s golfer.

The Tustin, Calif., native began the tournament with a 3-under 69 on Monday, registering five birdies, 11 pars and two bogeys during the opening 18. She followed that up with another 3-under 69 on Tuesday, recording just one bogey, four birdies and 13 pars. She finished the final round with an even 72, scoring all pars on the front nine and had two birdies to counter two bogeys on the back nine.
