EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern continues its 2013 spring season this weekend at the Second Annual Clover Cup Tournament March 8-10 in Mesa, Ariz., on the Longbow Golf Club. Six of the 16 participating teams are ranked in the top 50 by GolfStat.com, including Northwestern who is tabbed No. 27.

The 54 holes of stroke play will begin at 8 a.m. Friday and Saturday and at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, local time.

Northwestern will again combine youth and experience with the lineup of one senior, one junior, one sophomore, and three freshmen. Senior Lauren Weaver (Scottsdale, Ariz./Cactus Shadows), junior Devon Brown (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif./Cathedral Catholic), sophomore Hana Lee (Hacienda Heights, Calif./Wilson) along with freshmen Kaitlin Park (Tustin, Calif./Beckman) Suchaya Tangkamolprasert (Bangkok, Thailand/Bromsgrove International) and Elizabeth Szokol (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier) will compete this weekend.

That same group participated in the Lady Puerto Rico Classic, which was the spring season-opener for the Wildcats. Park had the best finish of her young Wildcat career, tying for fifth while Lee finished in the top 25. As a team, Northwestern tied for ninth out of the 15-team field.
