    TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Northwestern saved its best for last, firing a 17-over 301 during Sunday's final round at the UA-Ann Rhoads Intercollegiate at the NorthRiver Golf Club to climb three spots and finish 14th in the event.

    Coupled with scores of 308 on day one and 322 on day two, NU ended up with a 79-over 931 in the three-day tournament. The Wildcats were one stroke better than a trio of schools tied for 15th with scores of 80-over.

    Arkansas won the Intercollegiate in wire-to-wire fashion, finishing with a 34-over 886.

    Jennifer Hong (Windermere, Fla./The First Academy) led NU Sunday with a 2-over 73 in the final round, finishing in 41st place overall with a 17-over 230. Kelsey Lindenschmidt (West Chester, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) also had a 230 for the tournament after firing a 3-over 74 Sunday.

    Rebecca Lederhausen (Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale Central) had her best round of the event Sunday with a 5-over 76, finishing in 75th place with a 26-over 239. Katie Trachok (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) finished ahead of Lederhausen on the leaderboard with a 61st-place score of 235 following a 10-over 81 in the final round.

    Brittany Johnston (Akron, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) also had her best round of the Intercollegiate Sunday with a 7-over 78.

    Northwestern returns to action Sunday-Monday, Nov. 4-5, at the Challenge at Wolfdancer in San Marcos, Texas.
