GOLF, Ill. - Northwestern concluded the third and final round of the 2011 Windy City Classic Tuesday at the Glen View Club, finishing in a tie for sixth. Two Wildcats finished in the top 20 individually as sophomore Devon Brown (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif./Cathedral Catholic) led NU in a tie for 11th with a 5-over 221.

The third and final round was an exciting one in the team race as Oklahoma State held off Arizona for a one-stroke team victory after a three-putt bogey from Arizona's Isabelle Boineau on the 54th hole. Boineau still shot a 4-under 68 on the day to earn co-medalist honors at 2-under 214 alongside Oklahoma State's Kelsey Vines.

Oklahoma State won the Classic with an 18-over 882 (291-298-293) while Arizona came in a close second with a 19-over 883 (303-292-288). Ohio State was one stroke behind Arizona with a 20-over 884 (296-300-288) for third. Rounding out the top five was TCU in fourth, finishing with a 34-over 898 (303-297-298) and Texas, who made a significant third-round improvement, to finish with a 35-over 899 (304-302-293).

Brown entered Tuesday in a tie for 16th and shot a 1-over 73 to tie for 11th in the individual race. Brown made 11-straight pars before a double-bogey on the 12th hole, but she birded on 18 to finish 1-over.

Junior Lauren Weaver (Scottsdale, Ariz./Cactus Shadows) placed 20th after tying for 16th following the first two rounds. Weaver had four bogeys and a birdie in the third round to finish with a 3-over 75, shooting a 7-over 223 for the tournament.

Freshman Hana Lee (Hacienda Heights, Calif./Wilson) finished with a 10-over 226, shooting a 5-over 77 in the third round, to tie for 29th.  Freshman Brittany Mai (Poway, Calif./Poway) was four strokes behind Lee, shooting a 14-over 230. Mai finished with a 5-over 77 in the third round to tie for 46th.

Senior Alex Lederhausen (Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale Central) rounded out the NU team competitors, tying for 66th with a 20-over 236. Lederhausen had four bogeys and a double-bogey on hole 10, finishing with a 7-over 79 Tuesday.

    Individually, junior Mei Liu (Austin, Texas/Lake Travis) finished 71st with a 21-over 237, shooting a 7-over 79 in the third round. Junior Anne Ormson (Granger, Ind./St. Joseph's) finished 77th with a 28-over 244 (10-over 82 in third round).
