    GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Northwestern shot a 39-over 319 over the final 18 holes of the SunTrust Lady Gator, good enough for a seventh-place finish in one of the most competitive fields of the season. The Wildcats finish the 54-hole tournament with a 94-over 934 (304-311-319), three shots better than eighth-place Coastal Carolina.

    Sophomore Rebecca Lederhausen (Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale Central) came through again for Northwestern, posting the top score for the second-straight round for the 'Cats. Lederhausen shot a team-best 8-over 78 on the day to finish in a tie for 22nd-place with a 22-over 232 (80-74-78). She nudged out her younger sister Alexandra Lederhausen (Hinsdale, Ill./Hindsdale Central) by one stroke, as Alex posted a 23-over 233 (75-78-80). It marks the first time the sister duo has finished one-two atop the Northwestern scorecard.

    Sophomore Innapha Tantanavivat (Bangkok, Thailand/David Leadbetter Academy) tied for third among the Wildcats with freshman Kylie Fuller (Temecula, Calif./Chapparal) after shooting an 11-over 81 on the day, compiling a 26-over 236 (76-79-81) for the tournament. Fuller put together a 13-over 83 over the final 18 holes to finish with a 26-over 236 (73-80-83) as well. Senior Jennifer Hong (Windermere, Fla./The First Academy) rounded out the scorecard with a 32-over 242 (81-81-80).

    After beginning the day in sixth, NU dropped one spot to seventh, three strokes better than eighth place Coastal Carolina (97-over 937). The Wildcats finished two shots back of sixth-place Washington and seven behind the fifth-place Gators (87-over 927). Duke and Auburn tied for first after 54 holes with a 73-over 913, with the Tigers taking home the championship after winning the first playoff hole. Georgia State was one stroke back in third place (74-over, 914) with Alabama placing fourth (78-over 918).

    The Wildcats now prepare for the final tournament of the regular season, traveling to Columbus, Ohio to compete in the Lady Buckeye Invitational on April 18 and 19. Northwestern then heads to West Lafayette, Ind., for the 2009 Big Ten Championships April 24-26.
