    RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. – No. 29 Northwestern wrapped up competition at The SDSU Farms Invitational Tuesday afternoon at The Farms Golf Club. Two Wildcat underclassmen finished in the top 15 and helped Northwestern place sixth in the 15 team field that included eight squads ranked in the top 50 by
    The Wildcats posted a 19-over 307 in Tuesday’s final round, shaving a stroke off of yesterday’s score. NU’s 54-hole total of 920 (+56) was six strokes ahead of seventh-place and 22nd-ranked Texas A&M (926, +62). Top-ranked Southern California won the tournament at 11-over 875.
    Freshman Kaitlin Park led the way for the Wildcats with her third top-10 finish of the season. The Tustin, Calif., native tied for eighth, scoring a 7-over 223. Her best round of the tournament came on Monday as she had three birdies and 12 pars to finish an even 72 and rank second in the individual standings.
    Sophomore Hana Lee cut three strokes off of her second-round score, posting a 4-over 76 on Tuesday. Lee finished the tournament in a tie for 12th at 9-over 225. She had her ninth round of par or better in Sunday’s first round, carding a 2-under 70, which was the low round of the tournament for any Wildcat.
    Senior Lauren Weaver also shot a 76 on Tuesday, which was her best score out of the three rounds. She finished in a tie for 39th with freshman Suchaya Tangkamolprasert as both Wildcats scored a 236.
    Freshman Elizabeth Szokol played as an individual at The Farms Invitational and tied for 54th at 243. Junior Devon Brown, who is a native of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., had her best score of the tournament on Tuesday, shooting an 83.

    Northwestern has one more tournament before beginning the postseason at the 2013 Big Ten Championships. The Wildcats are back in action April 20-21 in Columbus, Ohio, playing at the Lady Buckeye Invitational.
