    RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. – A pair of Wildcats sit in the top 10 after the second round of The SDSU Farms Invitational that wrapped up Monday at The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. Freshman Kaitlin Park moved into second place in the individual standings after shooting an even 72 on Monday while sophomore Hana Lee is tied for ninth after 36 holes.
     
    Park led the NU squad on day two. Beginning on hole No. 1, Park was 2-under through the fifth hole with birdies on holes two and five and pars on one, three and four. She went 1-under on the front nine and had eight pars and one bogey on the back nine to finish even. The Tustin, Calif., native was in fourth after the first round and sits in second at 1-over 145 for the tournament (73-72). Park is two strokes behind tournament leader, USC’s Sophia Popov (74-69=143, -1).
     
    Lee, who led the field after the first round at 2-under 70, remains in the top 10 with a 5-over 149 through the first 18 holes (70-79). Freshman Suchaya Tangkamolprasert improved her score from round one, shooting a 5-over 77 in the second round and is tied for 47th (82-77=159, +15). Fellow freshman Elizabeth Szokol, who is playing as an individual, had the second-best score of the day for NU, shooting a 4-over 76, cutting 13 strokes off her first-round score.     As a team, No. 29 Northwestern is in sixth place out of the competitive 15-team field, shooting a 20-over 308 on Monday (305-308=613, +37). The Wildcats are four strokes behind No. 25 Texas (+33 609), who sits in fifth and three strokes in front of No. 22 Texas A&M (40-over 617).
     
    The Wildcats tee off the third and final round of The SDSU Farms Invitational Tuesday morning at 8:15 a.m. local time.
